From Scarcity to Spaciousness: Redefining Productivity

Doing more isn’t the goal. Doing what matters is.

You know what doesn’t help grow a thriving business or keep your sanity when things heat up? Chaos, distractions, and doing everything "that needs to get done."
We’ve been sold this idea that productivity means doing more. Longer hours, bigger to-do lists, zero margin for error—or joy.
But let’s flip that script.
True productivity isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing the right things—and letting the rest compost.
Think of it like gardening: You don’t water weeds. You pull them out to make room for what you want to grow.
So how do we shift from scarcity mode (not enough time, not enough money, not enough energy) to spaciousness?
Here's how:
1. Define What Actually Matters
What’s the ONE thing that moves you closer to your vision this week?
Everything else can wait. Or get delegated. Or get deleted.
2. Build in Buffer Time
Spaciousness = sanity. Leave space between meetings, tasks, and homeschool sessions. (And yes, space to stare into the void counts.)
3. Prioritize Presence Over Pressure
Sometimes being fully present with your child, partner, parent, or friend is the most productive thing you can do.
Because we’re not just building businesses—we’re building lives we want to be present for.
4. Stop Treating Rest Like a Reward
You don’t earn rest. You need it. Schedule it. Protect it. Normalize it.
Even visionary leaders need naps (and iced beverages on hot days).
You’re not lazy, and you’re not falling behind; you’re likely just overwhelmed. What you really need isn’t more hustle, but space to breathe and focus to grow what truly matters.
So this week, pull a few weeds. Make a little room.
Spaciousness is strategy, not indulgence.
Let’s grow.
