Your big vision called—it wants a game plan. Part 2

So, you’ve made the mindset shift from overworked CEO (Chief Executive Officer) to bold CVO (Chief Visionary Officer). You’re no longer just checking boxes—you’re chasing a vision. Now the real question becomes:
How do you take that big, dreamy vision and turn it into steps that actually make sense on a Monday morning?
This is where most people either get stuck or start throwing spaghetti at the wall. But not you. You’re about to break your vision down like the boss you are—with clarity, confidence, and a solid plan.
Step 1: Define Your North Star
Every visionary needs a North Star—one clear statement that anchors every decision, action, and yes, even what you don’t do. Your North Star is not your to-do list. It’s the guiding why behind everything. It should be short, powerful, and personal.
Example:
“I’m building a business that lets me homeschool my son, live generously, and create lasting financial freedom.”
This is your compass. If a task or opportunity doesn’t align with it, you don’t chase it.
Step 2: Reverse-Engineer That Vision
Now that you know where you're going, work backward like a strategist. Let’s say your big goal is to hit $5k/month with your business by December. Reverse-engineer it:
What needs to happen by September?
What about by July?
What must happen this month to stay on track?
Break it down into phases that build on each other. Don’t start with what’s “possible”—start with what’s essential.
Step 3: Use Time-Based Tools to Anchor Action
This is where your vision becomes visible. Use tools like:
Vision boards (great for visualizing the big picture)
90-Day Plans (chunky goals broken into quarters)
The 12-Week Year (sprints that keep you focused and adaptable)
You don’t need a color-coded calendar from Pinterest. You just need clarity on what matters most this week.
Step 4: Ditch Busywork, Align with Vision
Busy is not the same as productive. Ask yourself:
Is this task moving me toward my North Star?
Am I doing this out of habit, obligation, or strategy?
Reclaim your calendar from the chaos. Prioritize income-generating, vision-affirming tasks. Everything else? Either systemize it, schedule it, or say no to it.
Bottom Line:
Vision without a plan is just a Pinterest board.
Plan without alignment is just another to-do list.
But a plan grounded in vision?
That’s how you move like a CVO.
Next time, we’re digging into boundaries and energy—because your dream deserves your full focus, not what’s left over.
Let’s grow.
